About Us
We are a small ranch in N. Idaho providing other Hereford lovers with quality breeding stock that may fill in the holes or just add variety to your existing herd.
My husband’s family raised registered polled Herefords for 30 years. Because of my husband’s background and the gentleness of the breed, we as a family decided Herefords were the breed for us!
Come visit us at our ranch and see for yourself if there is a Hereford that is for you. We love to talk one on one with our customers and get your input and knowledge regarding the cattle.
Like most breeders we are always striving to improve our own herd. Our younger daughter Savannah went to Texas to learn A.I. and is currently employed at a dairy gaining daily experience. Spring of 2023 we will be transitioning strictly to A.I. to improve our genetics. Everyone has their own idea of the perfect cow and we hope to provide a good selection that will fill your needs. Our list of requirements include nice tempered good mothering cows, good udders and teats, good bone and feet, calves that grow and gain, and easy calving cows that breed back.
My husband and I were born and raised in N. Idaho where we raised both our daughters, Olivia and Savannah. As a family we believe in the ranching and farming way of life and that it is necessary for our country’s continued success. It is not an easy life but one well worth living. Our daughter Olivia has had a business raising and selling hogs since the age of 10. Savannah started her own Hereford cattle herd at age 12. Edge of Heaven Ranch will be passed down to our daughters and hopefully one day to our grandchildren.
Work hard, play hard is what we have always taught our girls! As a family we enjoy snowmobiling where most have never gone. The girls didn’t know there was such a thing as a groomed trail until 2-3 years into snowmobiling. Even now my husband tries to avoid such trails because of the traffic. We are always outside hiking, biking, horseback riding and taking the side-by-side exploring in our great outdoors. There isn’t a more beautiful place to live then N. Idaho.
Edge of Heaven Ranch is a dream of ours that finally started with the purchase of 80 acres in 2015. We are building a legacy for generations to come. Honesty, integrity, true grit and a love for animals is what describes our family as a whole.
